Meet Olivia
Olivia Yaksich is a Clinical Psychologist with experience across both private practice and research in neurodevelopmental follow-up. She has a particular interest in childhood stressors and the ongoing impact on a person’s development and emotional wellbeing across the lifespan. This has guided her approach to therapy with adolescents and adults, and her interest in comprehensive assessments.

Where can I see Olivia?
Olivia is now operating a mixed clinic with both Telehealth (Zoom) and in-person appointments, based in Brisbane, Queensland. Technology and medicare have advanced to allow for therapy services to be provided via Telehealth, which provides greater convenience and equity to patients. Telehealth appointments are on Mondays and Tuesdays, with evening appointments on request.
In-person appointments are available on Fridays, operating out of a clinic in Paddington. These are patricularly important for new patients and those who cannot tolerate Zoom calls. Fees for Telehealth and in-person are the same.

Olivia has a warm and compassionate approach to therapy, and utilises a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to support a person's unique goals. Olivia has also received further training in Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy and Schema Therapy, and incorporates these techniques in her approach to therapy.

Olivia offers comprehensive psychological testing for individuals aged 6 years and above.

I am excited to announce that I will be releasing children’s book in late 2024 that focus on supporting a child’s adjustment to stressors and trauma. These books will be designed both for therapists and parents to use at home with their child.
